Laura K. Vannah's Totem Spirits Workshop
Indigenous wisdom, music, theatre, and healing traditions are very close to Laura “Bright Star” Vannah’s heart and she has been exploring and studying them for many years. She has been trained in ceremony and sacred traditions, studying the teachings of Jamie Sams and Brooke Medicine Eagle since 1998. She has also studied with Grace Daniels of the Stoney Reserve, Alberta.
In her work with Linda Many Guns, Many Guns Traditional Consulting, Inc., Vannah began teaching a class on Native beliefs about Power Animals at an Aboriginal Addictions Center in Calgary, Alberta. She created “Totem Spirits: Nature speaks to us if we listen” in which youth and adults learn the meanings of traditional animal totems and another way to learn about themselves and the world around them, that we are always connected to the Earth and it to us.
That led her to the path on which she now walks. She is the owner of Bright Star ProductionZ, is the Founder and Executive Producer of the Native Circle: Touch the Earth Festival, and was awarded her Masters of Arts in Theatre from Binghamton University, December 2008.
Laura's Totem Spirits Workshop led me to find my passion and my life's work with Animal Reiki!

Vannah’s thesis “The Spiritual Actor: The Power of Spirituality in Acting and Actor Training using Spiritual Practices and Native American Animal Totems” led her to create The Dynamic U ~ Helping Actors, Artists, Entrepreneurs, and Creative Individuals Bring All of Who They Are to All of What They Do.She is currently writing a comprehensive workbook for actors.
