Do you want the "Wow Factor"?
Are you ready to take your acting to the next level?
Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a Master Actor?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results! Anthony Robbins says, "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten!"
What are you doing over and over again and then expect different results?
Think about your favorite actor.
What does he or she do that makes you sit up and say, "Wow! That was brilliant! I wish I could learn to do that!"
Would you like to profoundly improve the quality of your work as an actor, land more prestigious roles? Get dramatic results every time you perform? Get better paying work as an actor?
Do you want to express yourself freely and completely in any role? Do you long to embrace your creative individuality? Would you love to be a Master Actor?
What stands in your way of creating authentic, masterful performances? How do you remove it?
Acting isn't about faking or pretending. It's the ability to respond authentically in the moment. To become a master in the craft of acting takes awareness, presence, technique, and skill.
Genuine creation comes when the authentic self is somehow tapped. But for this to happen, the conscious mind must relax, let go, because the more we 'thrash about' the more our efforts boomerang.
People are motivated to action by a desire to attain a goal. In the real world, our desires and actions are not always known to us consciously. If you've ever stood staring into your fridge wondering what you want to eat, then you know what I'm talking about. You know you're hungry, and yet, there's nothing in the fridge that's jumping out at you as what you want.
Often times our desires and actions are known only to our sub-conscious.
Imagine the characters and roles to which you are typically drawn.
What if there was a higher, deeper meaning behind that calling?
What if your soul, your spirit, your heart was asking you to work through certain issues, embodied by the roles you long to play, to bring forth qualities that have been buried within you?
What if every character you long to play is a part of you longing to be expressed in the world? How would that knowledge help you grow as an individual, an actor?
“Through conscious technique we pave the way to subconscious creativity”
- Stanislavski
What if every aspect of the craft of acting was done with deep awareness?
Take auditions, for instance. You get, maybe, one to three minutes, if you're lucky, to show a director exactly why you are perfect for the part. Even a "job" interview lasts longer than that.
So, how do you use this perfect opportunity as an actor to see what this tells you about yourself?
How does becoming more conscious, through the audition process, help you grow and develop as an actor?
What if every audition was an opportunity to digest the parts of you that are saying you're "not good enough", to see what you don't want for your life, thereby knowing what you do want?
What if you took inspired authentic action from your heart every time you stepped on stage? In your life?
How would that change you as an actor? As an individual?
What if you were able to act on your authentic impulses much more freely and intuitively within your life and any character or role you play?
How would that enhance your life, your craft? How would that make the connections with your partners on stage more alive in the moment? How about in your personal life?
What if you could remove the blocks, fears, and inhibitions to truly going for your life as a performer?
What would you be doing then that you are not doing now?
What if this led to more roles, better paying jobs, a more fulfilling career, a deeper relationship with yourself and others?
"It takes a lot of faith to be an actor. Whether it’s in God, a less defined higher power, or themselves, faith is as essential as talent for actors because even the best show closes, and they are again out of work, holding themselves out for approval, only, more often than not, to face rejection."
Actors hold a mirror up to and for society. "Stage and screen actors form unique relationships with their audiences. Through their work, they challenge, teach, and inspire us by shedding light in all corners of life and connecting with us through our senses and emotions." ( Working on the Inside: The Spiritual Life through the Eyes of Actors, Retta Blaney)
...the real task of the creative artist is not merely to copy the outer appearance of life but to interpret life in all its facets and profoundness, to show what is behind the phenomena of life, to let the spectator look beyond life's surfaces and meanings.
